Top News Videos on YouTube

Osama bin Laden was a major focus of the video sharing site YouTube last week.

Two of the top five most-viewed news videos were of footage released by the Pentagon on May 7. The materials, seized during the May 1 raid of bin Laden’s compound, show the former al Qaeda leader inside his hideout, watching himself on television and rehearsing for propaganda videos.

The top video shows a frail bin Laden sitting on the floor of his house, wrapped in a blanket and watching satellite television. Holding the remote in his hand, he flips through the channels to watch the media’s coverage of him.

The No. 5 video, from a Brazilian newspaper website, shows a number of different moments including bin Laden watching himself on television, delivering a video message to America, and rehearsing speeches in front of a camera.
